Design Thinking encourages students to engage in empathy, define problems, prototype, iterate, and solve real-world problems. Makerspaces help students foster critical thinking, open-ended creativity and iterative design.

In this webinar, Beth and Douglas presented the design thinking process. They showed examples of different kinds of makerspaces, from simple to complex, and discuss how teachers can incorporate design thinking into their learning environments. From the very start of the school year, teachers can begin to cultivate a culture of collaboration, exploration and student-driven learning.
