Create imaginative, informative, and persuasive texts that raise issues, report events, and advance opinions, using deliberate language and textual choices as well as digital elements.
Students will use the Canva app to make social media campaign posters for a variety of topics. Students learn to take pictures or filter through open source media, find or develop quotes, and create and use hashtags. Once students create their digital poster- adorned with photos, quotes or slogans, and hashtags- students share their creations via social media to connect with other students and promote their individual projects.

This project could be extended beyond mere classroom content review. Students could launch school-wide campaigns, advertise for club or sporting events, and even start small “businesses” that market to other students.
