This year has advanced virtual learning tenfold out of basic necessity. However, in many cases, technology can feel like one more thing to teach and monitor. In this course, we will look at ways to leverage technology to increase student independence through response differentiation, read aloud directions, organizational tools, and while using many apps. We will start by looking at how to best use Google Classroom and Bitmoji Classrooms to present and organize student work. Then, we will look at ways to use Nearpod and Flipgrid to increase student independence during both asynchronous and synchronous work. Lastly, we will explore choice boards as a way to offer students independence and opportunities in the virtual classroom.
