Designing Assessments for Digital Experiences (SOLD OUT)

Instructor: Tom Daccord

COVID-19 has prompted many educators to reconsider their balance and design of formative and summative assessments. With standardized tests and end-year exams canceled, and online multiple-choice tests rendered impractical, educators are left to confront how to leverage and assess the wealth of formative information being cultivated in virtual classrooms. Going forward, digital experiences may become “hybrid” — happening remotely and in-person — and educators will need assessment frameworks and strategies for both environments. Designed for classroom teachers, curriculum specialists, and edtech specialists, this course focuses on developing innovative assessment strategies for a “hybrid” learning instructional environment. Course participants will be prompted to rethink their balance of formative and summative assessment, reflect on the qualities of effective formative assessment, and explore several tools and apps that can be used to create effective assessment strategies.

How It Works:

  • One-week courses will consist of 3 one-hour webinars (Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday) and 3 asynchronous activities for $95

  • Attendees will receive a certificate and a recording for each webinar.
