Virtual Reality has fundamentally transitioned from environments that are only accessible via expensive headsets to numerous web based platforms (WebXR) that are readily accessible to students and educators across multiple devices. This one week summer workshop experience will explore virtual reality from two perspectives: Virtual Reality to support online, remote or hybrid learning environments and virtual reality as a creation platform for students to tell immersive virtual stories and projects. The workshop will include a combination of conceptual approaches to adopting virtual reality for educational purposes as well as live simulations, immersive experiences and hands-on challenges to increase participant skill and comfort with creating and designing virtual experiences and projects.
How It Works:
- One-week courses will consist of 3 one-hour webinars on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday (except the week of July 6th which is Tues., Wed., Thur.) and three asynchronous activities for $95
- Two-week courses will consist of 6 one-hour webinars (Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays) and six asynchronous activities for $159
- Attendees will receive a certificate.
