Anissa Labrador is a dedicated lifelong educator who is always looking for the next opportunity to learn. She strives to inspire teachers to embrace change, learn by making mistakes, and enhance their teaching strategies with technology with the goal of guiding students to take ownership of their learning. She spent 17 years teaching grades 2-5, and as technology evolved, began to integrate tech tools into her teaching strategies. This interest led her to become an Instructional Technology Coordinator at Montverde Academy where she was responsible for training faculty during a three year technology integration plan to go 1:1 with iPads in grades 3-12. Currently, she is an EdTechTeacher instructor and professional development trainer for GPA virtual school. She has her BS in Education from Florida Atlantic University and MS degree in BrainSMART, a program which applies the latest discoveries in neurosciences to education. She has presented at conferences such as FCIS, FKC, FCIS, and ETT iPad Summit.
