Avra Robinson

Avra Robinson is a passionate educational technologist and authorized Google Education Trainer who has been working with teachers and students for over 20 years. She is also adjunct faculty at Kishwaukee College in Malta, Illinois where she works with pre-service teachers. Prior to joining EdTechTeacher, Avra was an Instructional Technology Coordinator, coach and teacher for a school district in Northern Illinois. Over the course of 14 years, she developed a district-wide technology education program for teachers and students that integrated core curricula while meeting technology standards. Additionally, she wrote and administered grants for funding, coached teachers, and created school-wide professional development opportunities for faculty. Avra also collaborated with leadership to develop and implement the 1:1 program that transitioned the district to G Suite for EDU and integrated Chromebooks, iPads, and Windows computers. She piloted several early learning management systems in an effort to teach online learning skills to students, developed a blended learning environment, and increased student engagement.
She has presented at local and regional conferences sharing ideas about digital publishing, student collaboration, G Suite for EDU, coaching teachers, digital portfolios, and more. In May 2014, she was invited to present with her students to legislators at the Capitol Building in Springfield at the TECH 2014 Conference.
Avra holds a Master’s Degree in Teacher Leadership from the University of Illinois Springfield and a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Illinois State University.
