Getting Started with Digital Storytelling

Digital Storytelling can be a powerful means of increaing student engagement, augmenting reflection, and allowing students to demonstrate their understanding in creative ways. In this 30-minute webinar, we’ll look at how digital storytelling can work with any subject – as well as explore several tools to create and share stories.

In this 1.5 hour course (video instruction + practical activities), teachers will dive into three core platforms: Google Maps, Google Earth, and Google Arts and Culture.
This course includes 20 concise lessons that highlight core features and skills for creating, editing, and sharing Google Slides presentations. Each lesson includes a brief (less than 5 minute) video tutorial and a hands-on Google Slides challenge design to apply the concepts and skills learned in each lesson.

This course is comprised of 14 concise lessons that highlight core features and skills related to using Google Docs. Each lesson includes a video tutorial and a hands-on Google Docs challenge designed to apply that lesson’s key skill.

From the WHY to the HOW, this course will introduce participants to a wide variety of strategies and tools for digital portfolio creation.
This self-paced course uses videos, articles, and web-based resources to help participants rethink learning and assessment for digital learning environments.
